Hi. My name is Alex Cecilio. I'm a graphic artist, and I'm going to show you how to draw a beard in Photoshop. So, the way I want to do it is using the paintbrush tool. So I'm going to go to paintbrush tool and I'm going to make my paintbrush smaller, because it's way too big right now, so I'm going to make it at a three - no I'll make at a five, actually. And then what you do is imagine a beard. I'm actually going to make it a three. Imagine a beard. There's a couple of ways to go about making this beard. You can start off by just making the general shape. It kind of looks like whipped cream, but you can give this guy like a wizard's beard, or a warlock's beard. And actually, if you're going to make a warlock's beard, it should look more like that, so that way we can give this guy some hair as well. Kind of looks like Santa Claus. And we'll just give him a wizard's hat. Alright, so now you've got your beard shape. And just make sure your shape is closed off, because when we actually decide that we're going to put these shapes together and color it in, we're going to want it so that it's actually a closed shape, but in my case it's not a closed shape, so I'm going to finish closing this off. And the way you can figure that out is just by getting rid of the layer - the layer that isn't being drawn on, and just go like that. So that way you can select your object. You can change your tolerance, so that way when you select it, it will select more or less. I'm going to put my tolerance up a little bit. Alright. So then what you do, select your beard and you add a new layer underneath it, and then you can go to the fill tool, or the paint bucket tool, which is right below the eraser tool, and select white, because we're making a white beard, and then you can fill it in on a separate layer. And that's kind of the cool thing about Photoshop is, you know, you can fill in a layer that has absolutely nothing on it. And make sure when you're filling it, that anti-alias - that's this little button up here - is not checked in, because if it's checked, it'll have more of like a.. you can't really see it up close, I mean from far away, but up close you can really tell like, got these jaggedy lines. So you don't want that. So go back to fill, anti-alias, there you go. And if you still get some jaggedy lines, like I happened just to get, just go back in with your paintbrush tool and you can just kind of like, fill these in. Like that. It's right here. Because this can really mess up the shape of your drawing, so, and then you know if you make a little line error like that you can just erase it. And that is how you draw a white beard in Photoshop. My name is Alex. Thank you.
