Hi, my name is Alex Cecilio. I'm a Graphic Artist and I'm going to show you how to draw a box of cigarettes in Photoshop. So, what I'm going to do for the first thing is go to your tool bar which is on the right, left side of your screen and just go down to the rectangle tool and you can push U as a, as a shortcut. And make sure your fill is white and your fill color is down here on the left side. So, you can, I'm going to draw an open box of cigarettes; so, I'm going to draw it about half the size I normally would because normally, it would be about that, that size; so, I'm going to draw it about this small. Okay. And then, I'm going to draw another cigarette or sorry, I'm going to draw the cigarette, but the first thing I'm going to do is go to window, go to layers or F7 and what this is going to do is it's going to open up your layers, layers panel. So, click your background panel and your, your white shape will disappear, but don't be discouraged, it's just invisible right now. Just click this button at the bottom and that's the new layer or create a new layer button. And this is going to give you a new layer and if you want, if it's going to drive you crazy to figure out where your cigarette box is, just go down to effects right here and it, just click stroke and what this is going to do is just add a line to your shape. And we're going to do the same thing to our cigarettes but not quite yet. So, I'm going to drag this and I'm going to go and click the color and I'm going to choose the color of a cigarette butt. And it doesn't have to be the exact same size as the box, so it's not really going to matter I guess. And then, you're going to do the same thing you did with the box; you're going to go down to effects, stroke and then you can just, one pixel usually does the trick; but, if you want a thicker line, you know, you can do whatever you'd like. Okay. So now, what you want to do is hold down option and make sure that you have the selection tool selected up on the very top of your tool box and if you hold down option and just drag the image of the cigarette over, you know, put it however close you want and then, you know, just drag it a couple of times so that you got a couple cigarettes in your box. And so, it's what I'm doing here and that one is actually not going to fit there and so what I'm going to do at this point; I'm going to take out that last one and then you can, if you want to take all your cigarettes, you can actually click the layer that you copied and just scroll down and hold down shift and select the last layer and then hold down control and then you can go to merge layers and this will make it so that your cigarettes are all one shape. So, and then, you're going to actually duplicate this again so that there's two of these and I know there isn't normally twelve cigarettes in a pack of cigarettes, but just for the sake of this video, I'm going to just make it pretty simple for you. So, the next thing and the last thing you can do is on the, add another layer and just draw another rectangle like this and this is going to define this box part like the closest down. And then, just to finish it off, I'm going to draw another little rectangle on top of that; oh yeah, and remember to add your stroke 'cause otherwise you won't see it. And I'm going to do the exact same thing on this layer, but make it so that it's like that. And at this side add another stroke. And then the last step would be to go to your line tool and sometimes the line tool can be a little tricky to find, so, you're going to want to just make sure that you hold down if you're having difficulty finding it, just hold down the rectangle tool and it'll be right there under the polygon tool. And then just draw two little lines like that to define your box. And then, you can drag and drop or you can just draw another line and I'm actually going to do that. And there you have your box of cigarettes. My name is Alex and this is how you draw a box of cigarettes in Photoshop. Thank you.
