Hello. I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. And today I'm going to go ahead and tell you how to check your shutter actuations for your digital SLR. Now unfortunately, no camera really makes this too simple. Now what you're going to actually have to do for the majority of cameras out there, you're going to actually have to download a third party software off the Internet and then you're going to have to plug your camera in and you're going to use that third party software to actually locate the actuations of your camera. Now what the actuations are is basically the shelf life of your shutter. It's going to be how many times your shutter is flashed and these actually are limited on DSLRs. Eventually you're going to have to get them replaced. Now there's a couple different companies out there that the shutter actuations are actually located within the EXIF data of each photograph taken. But otherwise, you actually are going to have to download a third party software to actually locate the shutter actuations. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
