Hi there, my name is Zach, and today I'm going to explain how to brighten an image. So, basically, I have an image of an interview that is a little bit too dark. Easily enough in Final Cut, I can brighten up this image. I'm going to start off by going to the effects panel. Once int eh effects panel, I'm going to go to the video filters. Next, I'm going to scroll down to image control and then just select brightness and contrast. And then I click that, drag it over to the clip and drop it. And then you're going to select filters and then all your filters will be listed. And now, I'm just going to add a little bit of brightness to bring up the black levels. All you're going to do is use the slider or also on the right you can type in your numeric value. I'm going to go back to 21 and see if that brighten up my image enough. Perfect! My name is Zach and I just explained how to brighten up an image in Final Cut Pro.
