Hi, this is Tony Chimino. I'm the CEO of Assurance, explaining today about health insurance premium for smokers. I think that everyone understands that smokers generally have higher health premiums than non-smokers. And the reason is is that smoking over a long period of time has certain increased health consequences over people who don't smoke. Now, insurance companies understand this and they factor in those long term cause in today's premium dollars. If you were a company and you want to find a way to reduce your health insurance premiums, a nice thing to do is add a smoking cessation program to your total employee benefit offering. These programs could help reduce the number of smokers that you have at your company overtime and thus, reduce your health insurance premiums. This is Tony Chimino explaining to you a bit about health insurance premiums for smokers.
