Hi. My name is Lisa Beels, from Haute Palate and Haute Palate Little Lunches, and I'm here to teach you how to make really soft, baby boiled carrots as finger foods for your toddlers. And, we're going to start with some baby carrots. Now, these are easily purchased at the store in a bag and just rinse them off before you use them. I have a little bit of salt, just a little sea salt, not too much for your children, a little butter and water and that's it. You can even go as simple as just having water and carrots. Now, this recipe couldn't be more easy and more delicious for your little kids. All we do is take your carrots and we dump them in the bowl. And, we're going to take our water and cover up the carrots. So, I have about two cups of water but it depends on how many carrots you have. So, we just want to cover the carrots. And I take a little salt, just a dash of salt, gives a little bit more flavor to the carrots. And, last, but not least, a little pat of butter, and I use real butter, no margarine, only natural butter. OK? I'm just going to bring this over to the stove and bring it all to a boil. So, you just boil this until the carrots are nice and soft and you cut them up into little pieces and the little kids have fun eating them with their fingers. You want them soft enough though, because when you cut it into little rounds that they can smush it in their mouths and that they don't choke on the hard pieces. And that's how you cook carrots for toddlers for finger foods. I'm Lisa Beels from Haute Palate and Haute Palate Little Lunches.
