Hi, I'm Kino MacGregor. We're here at Miami Life Center. Today, we're going to taking a look at yoga for menopause. One of the main conditions of menopause is decreased bone density so anything that helps you with weight bearing exercises particularly for the upper body will actually help treat some of the symptoms of menopause. So, cross your legs to perform an easy nice little liftoff and then take your hands not next to the pelvis but forward, strengthen your arms, suck in the belly and inhale, first lift your hips off of the ground and then exhale down, bearing the weight of your upper body will increase the bone density up around the shoulder girdle. If that was easy, then take the weight of the body forward, lean strongly into the arms, press, inhale and try to lift one foot off the ground. If that was easy, both feet off of the ground and exhale, lower yourself firmly back onto the ground. Any strength building exercises will help treat decreased bone density.
