Hi, my name is Alexis Guerreros. I'm a business consultant. Today, I'm going to talk to you about the items you're going to need to bring to your accountant when you're doing your taxes. It's very important. Your accountant needs all the information for any amount of money that you've made or that you've spent throughout the year that would go towards your taxes. Probably the first thing you want to bring if you work for a company, you've probably received either a W2 or a 1099. You make sure you bring that. They typically mail it to you closer to the end of the year so that you have it ready for when the taxes are due. Also, if you don't have a W2 or 1099, say you work independently or do odd jobs, you're going to want either a detailed report or a list of checks that you've received for income. Now say you have both of those, you're ready to go, any other assets that you may have or things that you might have sold whether it be stock or actual items, say a car or something of that nature where you've either made money or lost money, make sure that you bring that in with your accountant so they can take out all the deductibles that are necessary. Now, if there's any other additional items your accountant will typically either ask you for it or maybe you just don't have it. Good luck with your taxes.
