Hi, I'm Andrea Eldridge from Nerds On Call at And, the question that we're answering today is how to extend the lockbar on an iPad. So, on a standard iPad, your lockbar here, in order to unlock the device, is a relatively short bar. Some people would like to have the option to actually extend that lockbar to make it longer. Your bad news is, that's only going to be possible on a jailbroken iPad. So, it's normally not something that you can just install a program and get. But, if you have elected to jailbreak your iPad, you will have the option to install that application. So, on a jailbroken iPad, you're going to have a program called Cydia that's going to allow you to install apps that you don't have access to though the normal iTunes store. From Cydia, we're going to go ahead and find that program, and you're going to select a lockbar extender, which is the program that you want to install Lockbar Extender, which is the program that you want to install. Once you do, you're going to click "Install," which is going to be over here. Since I actually have it installed already, my button says "Modify," but your option will say "Install." And, once you install the application, it's actually going to reboot your device all by itself, and when it does, you'll come back to this screen, and your extended lockbar will be available.
