Hi, I'm Andrea Eldridge with Nerds on Call from and what we're going to talk about today is how to fix an iPod Touch that's stuck on its load screen so if you can't get past that load screen and you need to just wipe your iPod, get resynced with iTunes, there is a way to do that with a hard restore. So what you're going to go ahead and do is actually press your home button and your power button simultaneously but before you start you want to make sure that you connect to iTunes or the computer that you have your iTunes installed on. So, you're going to go from your lock screen. Mine isn't actually locked so it's not going to look exactly the same but you're going to press this home button and your power button at the same time. And you're going to press and hold for a really long time. It's going to seem like well over a minute and it will be over a minute but it's going to take it quite some time to get to the portion where it recognizes that what you're trying to accomplish is actually a hard restore. So just be very patient and give it some time. So, what you're going to get at that point is this symbol here. You can see that there's a USB cable and it's telling you to connect to iTunes so in order for your device to get recognized again so you can restore the information, you can actually just disconnect and reconnect so that your device becomes recognized by the iTune's library. Now you're going to have some options on your iTune's library. So it's saying that it's recognized an iPod in recovery mode and you must restore the iPod before it can be used with iTunes so you're going to go ahead and click okay to restore and it's going to run through the process here. Once you click restore it's going to start the process, restore and update and this process again is going to take a little bit of time but once it's done you'll have your iPod restored back and everything should be functioning normally.
