Hi, I'm Doug Levis, principal agent and owner of Strategic Insurance Services. And today, I'm going to talk to you about, how is a parking ticket affect my auto insurance? And the first thing I'm going to tell you, is that it's going to cost you money. And the money it's going to cost you, is typically from the county, whoever is fining you for the parking ticket. The carriers, the auto insurance carriers, normally will not charge you for having parking tickets. But the carriers want to look at, is they're going to look at your motor vehicle report, otherwise known as an MVR. And the things they're concerned about there, are more speeding tickets, other serious driving violations, running a red light, running a stop sign, and certainly accidents. So, in general, the cost to you is going to be out of your pocket, paying the county or paying the police department. Wherever you've got that parking ticket from. This was, how does a parking ticket affect my auto insurance? I'm Doug Levis with Strategic Insurance Services.
