Hi, my name is Doug Levi. I'm principle agent with Strategic Insurance Services. Today, I'm going to talk to you about Florida no-fault auto insurance. I own an agency in the Tampa Bay area, Florida, so I'm very familiar with this. And what no fault insurance is, if you've heard that term before, is also know as PIP or personal injury protection. Here are some things to know about it. Number 1, I should say number 2, rather, is Required. In the state of Florida you have to have it. You can't get an auto insurance policy without PIP. The reason they call it no-fault is, regardless of who's at fault in an accident you're going to get up to $10,000 for your claim. The $10,000 is a maximum. What they do is regardless of who's at fault in an accident, if there's injuries, the carrier's going to pay 80% of the medical bills up to $10,000 for any medical injuries. They'll then pay 60% of any lost wages, and again the maximum is $10,000. This has been What is Florida No-Fault Insurance. If you'd like more information on auto insurance or no-fault insurance in the state of Florida, feel free to go to our website at tampabayinsurance.net. My name is Doug Levi. I'm with Strategic Insurance Services.
