Hi, I'm Bob Holcomb from Apex Automotive in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. I'm going to give you a couple of quick easy tips in case you get a flat tire. The first step is to find your tools and your jack. Typically, these are going to be in your trunk. The device that I'm going to use, this jack, has a piece on top that'll fit on the pinch weld of your car. When we look under the car, you'll see that there's an arrow pointing to where to install this piece under your car. The top of the jack spins so that you can have the portion that raises the jack out from under the car. This will fit on the ground and this will fit on your pitch weld. And it'll raise the vehicle. Before we raise the vehicle, it's very important that we loosen our lug nuts. If we go to all the trouble to jack up our car, and forget to loosen our lug nuts, we're going to have to let that jack all the way back down. Because the car sitting in place and the wheel touching the ground is what's going to hold the wheel from spinning when we loosen our lug nuts. The lug nuts on our car will need to be removed with the tools that they give us. The more leverage we have the easier it'll be to remove these lug nuts. So, I'm going to put the tool on the lug nut. I'm going to have to apply quite a bit of force to loosen this lug nut. That's one way to do it. An easier way would be to use a little bit of mechanical advantage. When I place the device on the lug nut, I want hold on to the car and use my foot to beak the lug nut free. I'm going to do this to all five lug nuts. Once all my lug nuts are loose, I can then raise the vehicle up off the ground. Once the tire has cleared the ground, and it spins freely, I can then remove the lug nuts. Once we've got all the lug nuts removed, we can remove the wheel from the car. We're going to remove the securing bolt and we'll remove the tire from the trunk. We'll walk up to the installation point and put it on the highest lug nut. Start on the top lug stud and push it on the other four. Now, we're going to install our lug nuts. We'll get all five of them started then we're going to tighten them down by hand as far as we can. We're going to take our supply tool, apply a little bit of torque on these lug nuts. We always tighten lug nuts across from each other, never in a circle. We have to lower the car down, and put some more torque on these lug nuts. Once again, we'll take our supply tool, and really get those pretty tight. This is a temporary repair to get us to the service station. Once again, we tighten them the same way, in a cross pattern. And these are a couple of quick tips to change a flat tire.
