Hi Billy Beck III here from Billy Beck III Personal Training Center in Weston South Florida. In this video, I'm going to answer your question how to work out at top speed. Now I'm going to use bags, heavy bags specifically. A lot of people come out like, like a mad person when they start training and the key is to gradually warm up, work up a sweat, get your mind right and start slow. So if I'm going to strike a bag, I'm not going to hit the bag at first. I'm going to just go through the motions but I'm squeezing the muscles and I'm using the range of motion before I strike anything because that impact is what's going to be jolting to the body. So if we come out cold, that's when we get injured. So once you start, you get that controlled movement, then you start to throw it out, you start to use the body, get loose and then as you do it, you can pick up the speed and then you can bring everything together. But here's the key, again, get a little sweat going, controlled movements, full range of motion, then loose, fast, then you can start to bring everything together. But again, to work out top speed, you've got to control it, you've got to get warmed up and you've got to be prepared for it. Don't work out carelessly, work out with a purpose, intention and a goal.
