Hi. I'm Billy Beck III, from Billy Beck III Personal Training Center here in Weston, South Florida. In this video, I'm going to teach you how to build your endurance to speed your metabolism. Now, if that's the question we get asked, but actuality, to build your endurance that doesn't always mean you speed up your metabolism. So, what we're going to talk about is how to speed your metabolism by building your endurance doing an interval train n a treadmill. Now, we're using a treadmill, you could use any type of cardiovascular activity. It could be jump rope, it could be fighting, it could be an art trainer, it could be an elliptical trainer. You get the idea. Now, I'm going to run, but that would be my high intensity interval. But some people may just be walking faster. Or some people can be walking on an incline and then walking flat. The key is, you couple a period of high intensity with a period... a recovery period, a period of lower intensity. Now, we're going to use what is called a Tabata protocol, developed by a Japanese tread coach, Izumi Tabata. And it's only four minutes long. It's twenty seconds of high intensity with a ten second recovery period. So, it could be running with walking, running with walking or running and then just jump off and stop, which is what a lot of people do. And I'll demonstrate that. So, for you it may be walking fast and then walking slow. Now, let me show you how it's done. So, we start with the run. Remember you want to run, make it challenging. This isn't supposed to be easy. So, I won't go crazy because I gotta talk, but normally when I'm doing a Tabata protocol, I can't talk. That's about twenty seconds, I pop off for ten. Now, this is advanced. If you're just starting off, do not jump off a treadmill. This is my profession. I'm going to catch my feet here, ready for another twenty. I'll do it a little faster, just because I'm on camera. Let's see how fast I can go. OK. You get the picture. That's as fast as the treadmill will go. I'm Billy Beck III, and this has been how to build your endurance to speed your metabolism.
