The 1984 Chevrolet Van was a member of the third generation of the company's G-Series Vans. This generation began with the 1971 model and ended in 1995. As a member of this generation, the 1984 Van shares many common features with the other models in its generation, including the same body design and similar engine options.
The '84 Chevy Van is a front-engine vehicle with rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive. The 1984 model includes two swing-out side doors in addition to the two standard sliding doors. It yields 18 miles per gallon (mpg) in city conditions and 26 mpg on the highway.
The 1984 G20 Van came standard with a 4.3-liter V-6 engine capable of 165 horsepower. The other engine option for the G20 was a 5.7-liter V-8 capable of 210 horsepower.
The vehicle stood 79.8 inches tall, with a width of 79.5 inches and a length of 178.2 inches. It had a wheelbase of 110 inches.
