Singapore, the small southeast Asian island nation, is a hotbed for hip and trendy styles, culture and lifestyles. Birthday celebrations in Singapore can range from private dinners to lavish events. The backdrop of the location itself provides for an opulent setting, which makes any party hosted there special.
The Singapore Zoo is a venue that can be rented out for a private birthday celebration. The zoo is modeled after rainforest ecosystems indigenous to Singapore. The grounds are home to more than 315 species. Featured attractions include both a baboon and elephant exhibit. The open-air setting also provides for an ideal backdrop for birthday parties. The zoo has available 25 different areas throughout the property suitable and available for events of up to 1,000 guests. More specialized party options include a breakfast party with the animals that can accommodate up to 150 guests or a more intimate gathering called "a lunch with the lions" for up to 20.

The nation of Singapore was popularized in modern culture by the term Shangri-La, synonymous with paradise. The hotel was initially based off of the James Hilton novel, 'The Lost Horizon', published in 1933. It encompasses 15 acres of land, meticulously landscaped and filled with ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers. The hotel honors its historical importance in Singapore and features private parties that are centered around the Shangri-La theme. The two theme parties are readily available for booking directly through the hotel. The Streets of Singapore theme party features performers and food stations showcasing various Asian cuisines. The Uniquely Shangri-La party option is an extension of the paradise theme by providing an elaborately decorated setting filled with lavish touches ,including floor-to-ceiling draperies and dramatic lighting effects. Customized party themes are also available and any option would provide for a unique birthday-party setting.

High above the landscape of Singapore, the Singapore Flyer rises more than 540 feet into the sky, and is technically the world's tallest Ferris wheel. There are 28 capsules, called pods, which each house up to 28 guests. The pods are air conditioned and provide ample seating and mingling space, making an ideal setting for an intimate birthday gathering. For a more kid-friendly birthday party, the Singapore Flyer offers a Top Of The World party option: a private capsule for guests that makes two complete rotations, which take roughly one hour. The event includes kid-friendly meals for all guests, a birthday cake, balloons and on-board entertainment.
