Learn to cook in rural communities throughout Poland. Polish Culinary Vacations combines the cultural travel experience with instructional courses in preparing authentic Polish cuisine. You can stop in at The Culinary Institute in Cracow for a one day lesson or travel to varied regions throughout Poland to cook alongside local women in their own kitchens. Each one-week course presents a different flavor of Poland's culinary and cultural traditions, including introductions to the local farmers, bakers and meat shop owners in local communities.

Learn to cook in professional kitchens Home to one of the largest collections of Polish dining opportunities outside of Poland, it is no surprise that a community college in the heart of Chicago's northern suburbs offers continued education courses in Polish cuisine. As part of Oakton Community College's revolving series, Cooking with the Chefs, the college collaborates with local chefs in professional restaurant kitchens. Opportunities to learn at Polish restaurants are not available every semester, but a Polish course is normally part of the fall schedule. Call the Skokie Campus to find the next scheduled course.

If you can't afford to travel halfway across globe to cook with Polish grandmothers or can't find a local class being offered nearby, you can learn from Ana and her video camera. Ana's Kitchen is a video web series featuring a young Polish woman guiding you through the creations of many of her favorite Polish dishes and treats.
