The Best Colleges for a Career in Journalism
The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC) lists 113 accredited journalism and mass communications programs in the United States. These accredited schools are judged to meet specific criteria after a self-study is prepared by the faculty and administration of each program. Accredited universities are required to renew their accreditation every six years. Journalism programs at the University of Missouri, Columbia University and Arizona State University have been accredited by the ACEJMC and lauded by such publications as U.S. News and World Report.

Founded in honor of the late longtime CBS Evening News anchor Walter Cronkite, Arizona State's School of Journalism and Mass Communication features nearly a dozen journalism degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level. ASU is one of two schools in the nation that allows honors students the option to complete their bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism in just four years. Graduates of the school have gone on to careers in print media, digital media, broadcast and public relations.
