RV Campgrounds Near Plant City, Florida
The central Florida city of Plant City is at the heart of Florida agriculture, hosting the Florida strawberry festival each winter. There is one campground in Plant City itself, and several larger resorts in the surrounding cites of Seffner and Dover. You can park your RV and visit wineries like Keele and Curley, take the kids or grandchildren to Dinosaur World, or use the town as a rural base for exploring Tampa.

The only RV park in Plant City itself, the Sundial RV Park is a mixed tent camping and RV facility. The RV campground offers 50 full hookup sites and a separate dump station. All sites are back-in. The campground has access to seasonal pick-your-own orange and berry farms and includes restrooms and shower blocks with shopping within walking distance. If you're a senior, you can ask for a discount.

Tampa East RV Resort

Located in Dover, Florida, 15 minutes from Plant City, Tampa East is a resort RV park full of palm trees and lawns. The RV campground is within half an hour's drive of the Mexican Gulf, Busch Gardens and theme parks like Island of Adventure as well as offering easy access to the city of Tampa. Tampa East has three heated swimming pools and spa, plus two recreation halls. Facilities include picnic areas, wireless Internet with an extra charge, laundry, store with propane and telephone hookups.
The 694 pads and internal roads are paved and you can get a pull-through site and a 50-amp site if you need it. All but 35 sites are full hookups, and there is a separate dump station. While the RV park does specialize in seasonal sites, it also offers Passport America discounts. Tampa East has a Woodall's rating of four for its facilities and five for recreation.

Lazy Days RV Campground

The Lazy Days RV Campground is in Seffner, Florida, a 20-minute drive from Plant City. The RV resort has 299 full-hook-up sites and offers free breakfast and lunch to seasonal travelers. The wireless Internet is free, and so is cable television and a morning newspaper. A central club room offers air-conditioned relief. The RV campground holds frequent seminars, and among its other facilities are a laundry room, heated pool, Jacuzzi and even a tennis court. On site are Camping World, Cracker Barrel and Flying J. The RV campground has a five rating for facilities and four for recreation from Woodalls.
