Televisions for Children's Rooms

The expansion of video games, home entertainment through DVDs and other technology like video cameras has led to many children getting their own television in a bedroom or playroom. A standard black or silver television rarely goes with the colorful child decor, so parents can choose from a wide assortment of children’s themed televisions, the majority available from the family-friendly Disney Company.

Lightning McQueen 13-inch TV/DVD Player Combo

  • The star of Pixar’s “Cars” is squished down into box form for this vibrant 13-inch television set. The “hood” of the car opens up to reveal a DVD tray and multiple A/V inputs that allow children to connect video game systems. When the TV is not in use, McQueen’s eyes float around on the screen acting as a screen saver.

Disney Fairies Television

  • The Disney Fairies edition is perfect for a little girl’s room and comes in two models, one with a 13-inch screen and another with a 20-inch screen, remote control and DVD player. Both are purple with flower designs and a Tinkerbell figurine propped on the top.

Hannspree 9.6-inch Plush Giraffe LCD TV

  • Parents can relax with Hannspree 9.6-inch Plush Giraffe LCD TV because it is made to be held and squeezed by children. The small LCD screen is surrounded by a stuffed animal that children can carry around or prop up against the wall.

EyeClops Mini Projector

  • Turn your children’s room into a mini-movie theater with the EyeClops mini projector. Video game consoles, VCRs and DVD players plug directly into the device and the “eye” is pointed against a wall. The screen size equals 60 inches and children will not get burned because the device does not get too hot.

Disney Pirates 15-inch LCD TV

  • “Pirates of the Caribbean” fans can add more nautical decorations to their room with this pirate themed television. The 15-inch screen sits atop a replica pirate ship and is shaped like a giant mast on the ship’s deck. A skull and flag might seem distracting on top of the ship, but they can be screwed off if bothersome.

Disney 15-inch High School Musical LCD TV

  • The “High School Musical” themed TV is designed after the infamous red lockers commonly featured in the movie. The lockers actually work and open up for remote storage, A/V plugs and DVD disc feeder. The television stands on its own, but would be safer attached against a wall.

Princess 20-inch TV/DVD Combo

  • Princess themed rooms can be fully completed with this “crowned” television. The pink television is topped with a gold jeweled crown and also features a DVD player underneath the screen. The TV has easy to operate buttons on the front panel and also comes with a princess themed remote.
