Confident and stylish, the wedge haircut for men defines cool. Wedge haircuts amp up style and offer ease of care. From funky to refined, wedge cuts suit a variety of modern looks.

Punk Wedge

The punk wedge either shaves or closely shears the hair on one side of the head and around the back, up to the opposite side. Layers fall from the crown to the other side of the shaved or sheared side, measuring anywhere from a few inches to 6 inches or more, creating the layered look. The longer lengths fall below the ear.

Classic Bowl

The classic bowl-buzz cuts hair close to the scalp below the ears and around the nape of the neck. The hair above the ears lays longer, about 3 to 3 1/2 inches or more in length from the crown, all the way around the head. A middle or side part can accompany the classic bowl.

Modern Short Bowl

The modern short bowl shears the hair from the nape of the neck up to about 1 inch above the ears. While shorter than the classic bowl in back, the modern short has a longer bowl portion of the hair, at anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 inches to 4 to 4 1/2 inches from the crown. Wearers can add a part down the middle or on one side or add a bang, typically of the same length as the bowl.

Cool Wedge

The cool wedge leaves the length of the bangs at 5 or 6 inches from the crown; the bangs fall in the face. The sides of this style fall to expose only the earlobes. The back of the cool wedge falls just around the nape of the neck. This wedge looks fuller than the classic or modern short bowl.
