Some Other Games to Play in the Dark Like Laser Tag
Playing games helps children learn to socialize while having fun. Some games are educational, while others, such as Laser Tag, teach children how to strategize in the dark. Along with Laser Tag, there are several other games that kids can play in the dark. Most of these games involve hiding and pursuit and require the participation of at least two or more players.

Grog

Grog is an interactive game that requires a flashlight. A chosen player must disassemble the provided flashlight into three pieces---the battery, barrel and lens---and hide each part somewhere in the designated play area. The player then chooses someone to be the "Grog," a creature of the night. The grog must hide and try to freeze the other players by tagging them. The players must find the three parts of the flashlight, assemble it and shine it on the grog when they find him. The game continues until players find the grog, or the grog tags all of the players.
Sardines

Sardines is similar to the game hide-and-go-seek, except only one player hides. A group of players selects one person who must hide while everyone in the group closes their eyes and counts. The seekers must independently search for the player who is hiding. When found, this person is out of the game, and the player that discovered his hiding place replaces him. The game ends when the last seeker finds the last hiding person. An alternative to this version of the game has all "finders" squish into the original player's hiding place, like sardines.

Googala Monster

To begin this game, the players choose one person to be the googala monster, and that player must wear a blanket over his head. The blanket should be large enough to cover more than one person. The googala monster will try to catch the other players as they scramble around in the dark. Whenever the monster captures someone, that player must join the monster under the blanket, increasing the monster's size. The game continues until only one person---who is the winner---has not been captured.
Freeze Tag

Freeze Tag is usually played in lighted areas, but if every player wears a glow-in-the-dark accessory, such as a necklace or wristband---found at most novelty or party stores---this game can also be played in the dark. The players should divide into two teams. Each team should wear a specific color glowing necklace or wristband so that team members can identify each other. For instance, one team will wear yellow and the other will wear orange. Choose one team to be the "chasers," and they will try to tag members of the other team. After the lights are switched off, the chasing team will count to ten, allowing the other team time to run away. When a player taps a person on the pursued team, that person must "freeze" and stand still. The frozen player must remain still until a player from his team taps him. Play continues until all members of the opposing team are frozen.
