Places in Birmingham That Will Have the 4th of July Fireworks


Many people recognize Birmingham as one of the birthplaces of the civil rights movement. Birmingham is a thriving city and community with attractions and diversions for its residents and visitors alike. For the Fourth of July, fireworks are a necessary part of any celebration of the nation’s independence. There are three places within the Birmingham area where you can see fireworks on the fourth of July.

Birmingham Barons

  • The Birmingham Barons baseball team will play the Mobile Bay Bears at Regions Park on the Fourth of July. The game starts at 6:00, and immediately following the game, there will be a fireworks show. Most tickets are available for under $20 at the team’s website or the Regions Bank box office.

Vulcan Park and Museum

  • The Vulcan Park and Museum holds an annual Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza that many people in the Birmingham area look forward to every year. The show is held at the Vulcan Park and is free to the public. This fireworks display is a popular event so you may want to arrive early.

American Village

  • The American Village will host a Fourth of July celebration concluding with fireworks. The Village is located in Montevallo, about 35 minutes south of Birmingham. For information, call (205) 665-3535.

Lake Martin

  • Ninety minutes south of Birmingham, there will be a 4th of July Blast Concert and Fireworks celebration in Eclectic. The actual fireworks will take place on Lake Martin. The fireworks show is billed as the largest in the Southeast. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the fireworks at 9.
