Paper clips, those tiny pieces of wire that we use to hold papers together, have many more uses than just their intended one. They can be used for anything from home improvement to crafts, personal hygiene and kitchen applications. If you carry a paper clip at all times, you will definitely find an occasion to break it out.
Around the House
Unfold a paper clip and use it to clean grime off your tile grout while you’re in the shower. Use it to unclog spray bottles and glue bottles. Use large paper clips to keep your bags of snacks fresh instead of buying chip clips. Attach a paper clip to your toilet flush lever and lift chain, when the original clip wears out. This enables the lever to pull up.
Use a paper clip to clean under your nails, in lieu of a nail cleaner. Be careful not to dig too deeply. Use a sterilized paper clip to pop zits instead of your fingers. Straighten a paper clip and use it to separate eyelashes after mascara has made them clumpy. Be careful not to hurt your eye.
If you break your zipper pull, a paper clip works as an emergency replacement. Loop it through the bottom of the zipper itself. If your hem comes undone, you can use a small paper clip to keep it together until you can repair it.
Use an unfolded paper clip to eject your stuck CD or ZIP drive or iPhone SIM card. Use small paper clips as emergency cheese or olive skewers at the office party and pretend it's all part of the theme.
