Romantic Apology Ideas
No relationship is without conflict. Fights can arise suddenly and apologizing afterward is never easy. An apology with a romantic twist not only shows that you're sorry, but also expresses your love.
-
A Love Letter
-
A classic way of communicating feelings is through writing. Select nice stationery to compose a letter for your loved one. Don't explain yourself or give reasons why you're not entirely at fault -- just express why you're sorry and how you'll try harder in the future. You can also list qualities about your partner that you love and admire. Seal the letter in an envelope with a wax stamp and leave it somewhere she'll find it, such as on the car seat or by the mirror in the bathroom. For an extra touch, scatter rose petals around it and light some candles nearby. Your partner will appreciate the thought you put into your apology.
A Paper Heart Trail
-
Get home from work early and cut out different colors of paper hearts. Lay them out on the floor, beginning at the front door. The trail should lead around the house, through different rooms and end in the bedroom. Along the trail, set up little stations with small wrapped gifts of chocolate or other candy your partner likes, and little notes of apology. At the end of the trail, you can either have a larger gift -- perhaps a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant and a note stating where you are hidden -- or you can stand prepared with two glasses of champagne and apologize again in person.

A Romantic Dinner
-
Preparing a romantic dinner at home is easy to do. Dim the lights, light some candles and set the table. Select one of your partner's favorite CDs and play it softly as background music. Prepare a dish she enjoys and have some dessert on hand. If your meal has a variety of options -- for example, different sauces or pizza toppings -- you can even write up a menu and place it on the table for you partner to choose from.
A Romantic Gift
-
Giving a gift to your partner is another way of apologizing. While the gift shouldn't replace the apology, it represents your sincerity at seeking reconciliation. Romantic gift suggestions include a weekend away; a facial, pedicure and manicure gift certificate; or tickets to a sporting event. The gift doesn't have to be expensive. A handmade gift such as a voucher redeemable for a back massage or doing the week's grocery shopping is also romantic.
