Decorating your fingernails and toenails is just another way to express yourself. Changing the design of your nails can be just like changing your earrings. One variation of the classic French manicure is a reverse French manicure. The difference is that there are white and black French nail tips, rather than just the strip of white on the top. Does this Spark an idea?

Zebra
-
Get in touch with your wild side with French nail tips with a white-and-black zebra pattern on them. Start with a soft, pale pink nail polish on the bottom part of the nail, as is done in a traditional French manicure. The tips are then painted white, also like a traditional French manicure. Use black nail polish to make the zebra pattern on the tips. A variation is to paint the bottom part of the nails a hot-pink color. The zebra pattern on the top remains the same.
Polka Dots
-
A whimsical look for French nail tips is white and black polka dots. The bottom of the nail is painted in a classic French manicure color, a sheer pink or white color. Paint the tips white, just as in most French manicured nails. Using black nail polish, add polka dots on the tips only.

Black Line
-
A stylish and subtle way to wear white and black French nail tips is to add just a bit of black nail polish. To create the look, create a French manicure with pink on the nail base and white tips painted or airbrushed on the nail tips. Use black nail polish to add a thin, black line just underneath the white tips.
Striped
-
Create stripes on French nail tips using white and black nail polish. Start by doing a French manicure on the nails, complete with pink nail beds and white tips. On the white tips only, using black nail polish, paint thin stripes. Make sure that the width between the stripes is the same on all of the nails.
