Financial goals, such as saving money, paying off debt or raising donations, prove ideal for a poster board display. Once you've determined how much you want to save and how long you will work toward it, you choose a graphic representation of your progress -- a chart or a symbol such as filling a piggy bank. Below the picture, you can explain how you met your target by summarizing the methods you used to save money.

A poster board on New Year's resolutions can motivate you to stick with your resolutions or show how you met them. For example, with a resolution such as "Study at least 30 minutes daily," you mark your progress on a calendar or time line displayed centrally on the board. Documenting your progress involves writing about your experiences at intermittent points of the year and including images of tests or report cards.
