Fun Things to Write About
For many, writing serves as an enjoyable hobby. However, writer's block can strike even the casual hobbyist. If you are at a loss for what to write about, or just need some new ideas, you've come to the right place.

Journal
-
While writing about your day may seem like an obvious thing, the Upside Down Journal adds spice to the normal journal entry. You will take your day and add in various, extravagant details. Have you ever wanted to be an astronaut? Well, today is your day.
As an alternative, you could also write about your day from the perspective of a fly on the wall. Writing from a different point-of-view will be fun, and it will challenge your writing abilities.
Vocabulary Fun
-
This topic will need a bit of creativity, but can be an incredibly fun thing to write about. Choose 5 to 10 of your favorite words. For example: epitome, extemporaneous, flamboyant, plethora, and vivacious. Then, take those words and write a story containing each word. With the above word list, you could write about "The flamboyant mushroom people who lived extemporaneous and vivacious lives." With a bit of imagination and creativity, this topic could be the catalyst to your next novel.

Hollywood Star
-
Take a scene from your favorite movie and rewrite it so you are the star. Always wanted to be in a high-intensity action scene, or kiss Brad Pitt? Well, here's your chance. Write the scene in first-person point-of-view. Include what you think and feel. This will make the movie scene come to life.
Future You
-
How do you see yourself 5 years from now? 10 years? 50 years? Write about your ideal future self. Describe the job you would like to have, the type of person you want to be married to, where you want to live, etc. It will be fun to envision your future life. Include as much detail as possible and store it in a safe place. You can keep it for many years, and read it again after so many years have passed by.
