Most people need to de-stress at some time in their lives and what better way than to receive a gift to help us do it. People get stressed in different ways over different things, so tailored stress baskets will be required to make the difference and help them recover.
Make a pampering stress basket. Add in bath foam, exotic oils, scented candles and a large fluffy towel. Put in some truffles, gourmet cookies and a bottle of wine for relaxing afterward. You can even buy these ready-made (see Resources).
Food and Drink
A basket full of the recipient's favorite food and drink should help them de-stress. It could be chocolate and champagne, a favorite cheese with crackers and some wine. It may be a healthy option as that will certainly make you feel better physically, so a basket of fruit and vegetables could do the trick.
Create a basket full of vouchers interspersed with colored polystyrene balls or rose petals if it is for a woman. The vouchers could be for clothes, cosmetics, men's grooming kits, a makeover and/or a box of luxury chocolates. A day spending these vouchers is a good way to de-stress. Going online is an alternative if going out shopping is too stressful.
Use a stress basket for some exercise clothes to be used for yoga, Pilates or Tai Chi. Add in a gift certificate for classes to start off the de-stressing. A T-shirt and loose exercise pants with some matching socks in bright colors will cheer them up and the exercise classes may continue.
