Cake Toppers
-
Purchase Tweety and Sylvester plastic figurines to top the birthday cake. You can add other characters from the popular cartoon series, such as Granny, Tweety's owner. Add a small plastic birdcage to the cake for Tweety, or paint a background scene using frosting.
Cake Molds or Pans
-
Purchase a silicone cake mold or pan in the shape of Sylvester and Tweety. You can purchase these pans online or at some specialty kitchen stores. Bake the cake, let it cool, and remove it from the pan onto a flat serving tray. Decorate the cartoon-shaped cake with different colored frostings that match the characters' colors. Print out an image of Sylvester and Tweety if you need color guidance.

Edible Images
-
Edible images can be purchased from stores, bakeries or online. Apply buttercream frosting to your cake. Make sure the frosting is as smooth as possible. Apply the Tweety and Sylvester edible image directly to the top of the cake. The image will settle to look as if it blends in perfectly with the cake.
Buttercream Transfer
-
Print a mirror image outline of Sylvester and Tweety. Tape it to a flat cutting board or piece of cardboard. Place a piece of wax paper on top of the taped image. Use black frosting to trace the images of the cartoon characters on top of the wax paper. Fill in the outlines with appropriate colors of frosting. Place the cutting board in the freezer for a minimum of 90 minutes. Remove wax paper and frozen image from freezer, and place it upside down on cake. Remove the wax paper. Finish off the design with facial expressions and fine details using black frosting.
