Halloween Office Party Themes
Halloween to many means ghost stories, dressing in costumes and trick-or-treating. Switch up the daily office routine by planning a Halloween office party that is creative but still work appropriate. Let the staff know the theme or costume suggestions at least two weeks in advance and then create a time line for the festivities. Don't forget the treats because Halloween is all about candy and desserts. Encourage employees to make a signature Halloween treat. Does this Spark an idea?

A Pirate's Life For Me
-
Host a pirate themed party for Halloween. Encourage the staff and co-workers to wear such accessories as pirate hats, eye patches, and skull and cross bones. Serve skewered meat with tropical sides such as mango salsa and pineapple. Sell raffle tickets for a treasure chest of goodies. Put together a treasure map or scavenger hunt around the office and hand out prizes.
Couple Up
-
For creative fun, ask the staff to pair up and dress as a famous couple. Keep the anticipation high by keeping the costumes a secret. Some examples are Fred and Wilma Flinstone, Batman and Robin or Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of Hearts. The combinations are endless. At the end of the day, have a vote for the best costume, best couple or most creative. Set up a dessert table and have a everyone bring sweets.

Murder Mystery
-
A murder mystery is interactive and would require only some of the office workers to dress up. Just like the board game Clue, have someone dress as a butler, maid, professor and so forth. Create a murder story and send the mystery out first thing in the morning so when the staff members log-ins to their email accounts they will read it. Send a clue via email on the top of every hour. Once someone thinks he has solved the mystery, have him find the "murderer." Award the mystery solver with a restaurant gift card or treat bag.
Orange and Black
-
Some offices might want a more conservative approach to celebrating Halloween so suggest that employees wear orange or black. Give out treat bags with candy or handout cupcakes decorated with pumpkins. A Halloween celebration does not have to be expensive, but a switch up in the office routine can give employees something fun to look forward to, especially if there is a strict dress code.
