The Linksys WMLS11B allows you to eliminate unsightly cords.

The Linksys WMLS11B Media Link allows you to wirelessly send digital music stored on your computer directly to your home stereo. The unit also comes with its own set of powered speakers for outdoor use. Connecting this device to the other devices on your personal network can be problematic for many, but there are a few quick remedies for common issues.

  1. No Sound

    • Verify that the Media Link is receiving power. The power cord should be securely connected to the right speaker's 12V DC input and the Media Link's Speaker DC input. Ensure that the RCA cables are securely connected to their appropriate ports. This cable is color-coded and connects the Media Link's 2CH output ports to the right speaker's input ports.

    Cannot Connect to Network

    • Make sure the network settings for the Media Link are properly set. Use the up and down directional arrows on the Media Link to highlight the "Network Setup" selection and select "Wireless" by pressing the right arrow button. Verify that the device name, SSID and network type are correct. Open the Musicmatch Jukebox program on your computer and select the "Options" menu. Select "Settings" and choose the "CD Lookup/Connectivity" tab. Verify that the "Enable Music Server" and "Universal Plug and Play" fields are both checked.

    Stuck in Wired Mode

    • Unplug the Ethernet cable that runs from the Media Link to your network. Access the network settings menu by selecting "Network Setup" and choosing "Wireless." The Media Link will reboot and run in wireless mode.

    Too Much Bass/Treble

    • The Media Link has a built-in equalizer with six different presets: Flat, Classical, Acoustic, Jazz, Rock and Pop. Use the up and down directional arrows on the Media Link to highlight the "EQ Menu" selection and choose the setting that best suits your tastes by pressing the right arrow button.
