Why Can't I Mapquest My Address?
Most home and business addresses can be found on MapQuest, which allows you to see a map of the surrounding area or find your way to and from the location. If your address does not turn up in MapQuest, you may have an address too new to be included. Alerting MapQuest to your address' absence will resolve the problem.

New Address
-
Most online mapping tools, including MapQuest, are only updated on a periodic basis. As a result, if you live in brand new housing, such as a condo that was just constructed, the address may not be searchable in MapQuest right away. The site can direct you to a nearby location, such as a neighboring house or business that has been around for longer.
Random Errors
-
Sometimes, even when you are living at an established address, MapQuest will not have your address on file. MapQuest receives its mapping data from NAVTEQ, which is a global provider of mapping and traffic data. If the NAVTEQ database does not contain your address, neither will the MapQuest website. If it is important to you that your address be searchable on MapQuest, you can contact the site directly to request that the address be added.

Getting Your Address Added
-
To get MapQuest to include your address in its database, you must first find the exact longitude and latitude of the location. Go to http://developer.mapquest.com/web/tools/lat-long-finder, enter your address and click "Show Map." Confirm that the purple marker is in the correct location and then click the "Copy LAT/LONG" button. Send an email request to support@custhelp.mapquest.com with your address, and the latitude and longitude.
Wrong Zip Code
-
Entering your address incorrectly in even the smallest way, such as one wrong digit in the ZIP code, will cause an error when you search for the address. In most cases, MapQuest can guess which zip code you actually meant to enter, and will suggest address alternative. When you click on the appropriate zip code suggestion, the address search can be completed.
