With Skype you can connect with freinds and family from around the world.

Skype is an online service that allows you to communicate with other Skype members with little to no cost, depending on the services you select. Video messages, sending text messages and receiving voicemails are all available features to Skype users. Once you set up your voicemail, you can play your messages and store them on your local computer.

  1. Skype Voicemail

    • Skype voicemail allows you to receive messages if you are not available to take a Skype call. Once you log in to Skype, you can retrieve your message. For an additional fee, you can have your messages converted to text and have it sent to your mobile phone as a text message.

    New Voicemails

    • New Skype voicemails are stored on the Skype servers. You can access your new voicemails from any computer by logging in to your Skype account.

    Old Voicemails

    • After you listen to your new voicemails, they are stored locally on your computer in
"c:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\SkypeName\voicemail." Because the files are stored locally, you will not be able to log in to Skype on a different computer to listen to your old messages.

    Expired Voicemails

    • Messages not played within 60 days expire and deleted off the Skype servers. You cannot recover deleted voicemails, so make sure you listen to your messages promptly.
