The tux is the standard formal outfit for guys, but not everyone has one sitting in their closets. Tuxes can be purchased or rented, but if you think that you will only wear one on very rare occasions, then renting is the way to go. A standard tux is comprised of a black jacket, black pants, white dress shirt and black tie or bow tie. However, tuxes come in a wide variety of colors ranging from blue to yellow, so your choices are not limited. Just keep in mind that the brighter the tux, the more attention you will draw.

Suits, like tuxes, also come in a variety of colors, but suits can be mixed and matched. Suits can also be solid, checkered or pin stripe, depending on your personal style.
