"Assassins Creed 2": Stuck at Escaping the Animus Lab
"Assassin's Creed 2" starts out right away with action. You have no time to lose as you and the character Lucy need to escape the Animus lab before you get caught by the Knights Templar. This first level is heavy with dialogue and cut-scenes but there is plenty of opportunity for you to get comfortable with the basic controls and fighting moves. Because this is an introduction to the game, there is no way to lose the level — you just have to make sure to follow Lucy closely to activate all the necessary cut-scenes.

Leaving the Animus Room

Walk out of your room and toward Lucy, who is standing by the Animus. This will trigger a cut-scene where you witness the birth of Ezio. Following this scene, Lucy wakes you from the Animus and tells you that you need to leave immediately.
First Guard Encounter

Follow Lucy after the cut-scene ends toward the room's exit and then make an immediate left. This triggers a brief cut-scene where guards are alerted to your presence.

Elevator to Lower Level

Follow Lucy again through the now open door. The two guards will come around the corner and Lucy will knock them both out in a cut-scene. Run straight ahead after Lucy through the door and make an immediate right. An elevator on your left will open. Walk into the elevator to trigger a dialogue sequence. Exit the elevator and run to the right into the large open room.
Animus Room

This next room has several winding pathways. You must follow Lucy to make it to the other side of the room. There are a few guards in this room so you need to time your running so that they don't see you. However, if you are caught, press the "Punch" button repeatedly to help Lucy defeat the guards. Once you reach the elevator, another cut-scene will start and the elevator will take you down to the parking garage.
Escape

When you enter the garage you are immediately greeted by several guards. Hit the "Punch" button several times until you and Lucy have knocked out all the guards. Another cut-scene will trigger and Lucy will tell you to get into the trunk of a car to finish your escape.
