Fun Couple Games to Help Get Closer on a Date
Relationships can hit a plateau after a certain amount of time. Dating can help bring you closer than you already are, but it helps to be creative about what you do on your dates. One thing you can do to spice up a relationship and feel closer to one another is to play games. There are many games out there that couples can play. No matter what game you play, as long as you are bonding and having a good time, your relationship will continue to grow.

Board Games
-
It seems obvious, but playing board games is an exciting way to bring you closer to your partner. Play games that elicit conversation and enthusiasm. Games such as Trivial Pursuit allow you to talk while testing each other's knowledge. Monopoly and Boggle require you to be competitive, which can lead to playful teasing. Avoid games that shut down conversation or require long stretches of individual thinking and concentration.
Romantic Games
-
Not all games that you play need to be structured or store-bought. Come up with a fun game that allows you to get more intimate. Play a game where you write down your favorite body part of your partner and you each try to guess what the other one wrote. Play a game where you draw each other, even if you are both horrible artists. A game of Truth or Dare is also a good way to lighten the mood and get closer.

Physical Games
-
Play physical and more interactive games on your date to get closer. Twister is a perennial favorite and allows you both to get silly and physical in a structured way. Have a karaoke or air band contest with just the two of you. Sing along to your favorite songs at the top of your lungs and make fun of each other's singing voices. Organize a two-person dance competition that leads to silliness.
Role-Playing Date Night
-
There is perhaps no better way to spice up your date night than by pretending to be someone you're not. Play a game where you pretend to be strangers. Meet each other in a bar, and go for a "spontaneous" dinner. Come up with other scenarios that sound fun and act them out, either in a public place or at home.
