Where to Catch Geckos in "RuneScape"
Player who want a pet in the online role-playing game "RuneScape" have several options when choosing an animal. If you choose to have a gecko as a pet, you must have Level 10 Summoning. Unlike several other pets in "RuneScape," to have a gecko as a pet, you must catch the baby form of the animal yourself using the "Hunting" skill. Baby geckos come in three colors -- blue, green, red and orange. To catch a baby gecko, you must decide which color you would like, travel to the baby gecko's location and catch the animal with a box trap. Baby geckos inhabit several locations in the Karamja Desert.

Blue Baby Gecko

Several blue baby geckos are located in the central portion of the Karamja Desert, southwest of Tai Bwo Wannai. You can find blue baby geckos in two locations -- to the northwest of the mine and the northeast of the mine. To catch a blue baby gecko, you must set your trap in the middle of the baby geckos and wait for a baby gecko to wander into the trap. This can take several minutes. Once the baby gecko enters the trap, click the trap to place the baby gecko and the trap in your inventory. Your blue baby gecko will eat flies and beetle bits.
Green Baby Gecko

Several green baby geckos roam the northeast corner of southern Karamja Island, directly south of Musa Point. To catch a green baby gecko, you must set your trap in the middle of the baby geckos and wait for a baby gecko to wander into the trap. It can be difficult to locate a spot suitable for your trap, because the baby geckos roam a dense area. Once the baby gecko triggers the trap, click the trap to place the baby gecko and the trap in your inventory. Your blue baby gecko will eat flies and beetle bits.

Orange Baby Gecko

Orange baby geckos inhabit several locations on Karamja Island. They are located northeast of Tai Bwo Wannai, near the green baby geckos on the northeast corner of the island and northeast of Shilo Village. To catch an orange baby gecko, you must set your trap in the middle of the baby geckos and wait for a baby gecko to wander into the trap. It can be difficult to locate a spot that is suitable for your trap because the baby geckos roam a dense area. Once the baby gecko falls into the trap, click the trap to place the baby gecko and the trap in your inventory. Your orange baby gecko will eat flies and beetle bits.
Red Baby Gecko

Unlike blue, green and orange baby geckos, the red baby geckos are located on the southernmost part of Karamja Island. To access this location, you must start the "Legends' Quest," which has several high-level prerequisite requirements. After starting the quest, travel to Karamja Island and travel to Shilo Village. Place a machete and hatchet in your inventory and chop the jungle trees south of the village to enter the southern jungle. Run to the south-central portion of the jungle to find the red baby geckos. To catch a red baby gecko, you must set your trap in the middle of the baby geckos and wait for a baby gecko to wander into the trap. Once the baby gecko triggers the trap, click the trap to place the baby gecko and the trap in your inventory. Your red baby gecko will eat flies and beetle bits.
