Free Scrapbooking Tools
Scrapbooking is a way to display great memories in an artistic format. Instead of flipping through a stack of photos, put them in an album with paper frames, stickers, embellishments, notes and souvenirs to enhance. Be creative. But be aware, it can become really expensive. Now some great free tools are available via the Internet. Software tools allow hobbyists to organize, edit, enhance and layout scrapbook pages for online viewing or to print for your home scrapbook.

Create and print pages
-
One of the best free tools for scrapbook fans are internet sites that allow you to create pages containing pictures and words, then print them out as old fashioned photo albums. The tools allow you to crop pictures, change their size, put them in frames, write captions and choose backgrounds. Then print and enjoy.
Store and share online
-
Another great tool is creating online scrapbooks that can be shared across the internet with friends and family. You can choose from a theme like family, love, travel, wedding, or numerous others, then just drag and drop your photos, customize the text, add stickers and backgrounds. Voila! Your scrapbook is ready to share.

Templates, shapes, alphabets and embelishments
-
Templates are pages that are already laid out for you. You just place your pictures in the spots provided, and the work is done. Shapes set the tone for themes. For example, a back-to-school theme could use a large apple or school house shape for you to put your picture or notes on. Alphabets come in a large variety of styles. They can be used to title a page or sections. Special alphabets for holidays add to the holiday art. Embellishments are the little extras - frames and mats, hearts and swirls, anything to dress up the page and make it more appealing. These tools can be found bought at stores for high prices, or found on the Internet for free.
