Generous thighs are a problem spot for the majority of women. Learn which clothing combinations can help you minimize their appearance.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A-line Skirts
  • Long Skirts
  • Sarongs
  • Women's Causal Pants
  • dresses and skirts
  1. Step 1

Consider body-slimming underwear that reduces the appearance of large thighs.

  2. Step 2

Look for wide-leg pants that create a column of the leg, or try a loose-fitting flare pant. Avoid tapered legs or any pant that reveals the size difference between the lower and upper leg.

  3. Step 3

Select skirts that hang full from the waist, such as an A-line. Avoid straight skirts or skirts that taper at the knee.

  4. Step 4

Choose jackets that are fitted or flare just above the thighs.

  5. Step 5

Draw attention away from your lower half with brightly colored tops, decorative tops or accessories around the neckline.

  6. Step 6

Remember that dark colors have a slimming effect on the body. Choose charcoal, navy, dark brown or black as base colors for bottoms.

Tips & Warnings
  • When poolside, wear a sarong or pareu over your swimsuit.

on 8/8/2006 Premium denim makers usually offer trouser jeans with well-placed pockets. They're slimming and comfortable. Be sure to avoid excessive whiskering or fading in the thigh area.

on 11/22/2005 One little piece of information hidden in the Norelco electric razor model number is the type of battery it uses. If the last digit of the model number is odd, then it contains a NiCd battery; if even, it's NiMH.
