In the fast-paced game of racquetball, a timeout allows you to regroup and catch your breath.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Racquetball Goggles
  • Racquetball Rackets
  • Racquetballs
  • Water Bottles With Squeeze Caps

Step1
Use your timeouts wisely. You're allowed three in a 21-point game and two in an 11-point game.
Step2
Stop your opponent's run of points after four or five consecutive winners. The goal is to throw off your opponent's timing and rhythm.
Step3
Take a break if you start feeling tired.
Step4
Rest if you've hurt yourself.
Step5
Call a timeout if you've lost your concentration. Take the time to regain your focus on the game.

Tips & Warnings

  • Timeouts last 30 seconds.
  • Avoid using your timeouts just because you have them. You want to keep a semblance of rhythm to your game.
  • Save at least one timeout for the end of the game just in case you need it.
  • If you have any condition that would impair or limit your ability to engage in physical activity, please consult a physician before attempting this activity. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.
