How to Use Alignment on Long Dot Matrix Printouts
When you want to adjust the alignment of your dot matrix printouts, use the alignment or adjustment mode setting of your dot matrix printer to set the desired pattern. Many manufacturers feature built-in alignment patterns in newer printers, so you won't have to work as hard to get the proper alignment for vertical lines.
Although continuous paper is recommended for longer printouts, single sheets can be used as a substitute. It is imperative, however, to control the loading of single sheets when used for more professional results. Whether you use continuous paper or single sheets, be sure you follow the manufacturer's recommendations to avoid mistakes.

Tips & Warnings
Some dot matrix printer models use a Top of Form function to align longer printouts. Refer to the owner's manual of your specific model for more instructions.
If you experience problems loading the contiuous paper or single sheet paper, be sure to release the sprocket lock levers and use the edge guide to the left.
When using single sheets, be sure to manually load a new sheet each time printer ejects a printed sheet. The "Manual" load function requires new sheets to be loaded.
