Brush your hair to remove tangles -- this will make it easier to braid.

Gather hair that is directly above the bald spot. You should gather twice as much hair as the bald spot is wide. For example, if the bald spot is 1 inch wide, you will need to gather 2 inches of hair. This will ensure the braid is thick enough to cover the spot.

Braid the hair using a simple three-section interweaving. Separate the hair into three sections. Pull the right section across the center section, then pull the left section over the center section. Make sure you hold the strands tightly to keep the braid from unraveling. You will continuing interweaving the sections until you have about an inch of hair. Secure the braid with a hair band.
