How to Reset My Vizio to the Default
Modern television sets are mini computers that require processors and software to work properly. Just like your desktop computer or laptop computer, sometimes the hardware or software in your TV set can develop faults and prevent the system from operating correctly. One way to fix faults is to reset the Vizio TV to its default factory settings. This erases your preferences, including favorite channels and display settings, and returns the TV set to the same condition as when it shipped from the factory. To reset your Vizio to the default factory settings, use the "System Reset" tool in the Settings menu.

Press "OK" again, when the TV set displays an on-screen prompt asking you to confirm that you want to carry out the factory reset. Wait for the Vizio to erase your settings and return to its factory default settings. This usually takes only a few minutes, and the Vizio will automatically power off when it completes the process.

Tips & Warnings
In step 3, selecting the "Setup Wizard" option instead of "Reset All Settings" automatically opens the Initial Setup menu. This doesn't return the Vizio to its factory defaults, but instead allows you to retune the set. This is a useful option if you need to retune to local channels after moving house.
