How to Teach Zumba Online
Teaching fitness is easier in person, but with advances in technology it is also possible to teach things like Zumba classes online. It is important to be resourceful and use the power of the Internet to teach Zumba classes effectively. In a class, a fitness instructor often tours the room to inspire students and correct their postures and movements. An instructor that is teaching Zumba online still has to cover these bases, just in a different way.
Instructions

-
1
Complete an official Zumba instructor workshop to obtain a teaching certificate. The workshop covers basic Zumba moves and how to create a lesson plan.
-
2
Use a website or video sharing account such as YouTube or Vimeo to post instructional videos of the Zumba classes.
-
-
3
Plan out each workout. Imagine in your head teaching a live group class what it would look and sound like.
-
4
Lay out a script for the whole workout. Write out the specific instructions that you would be giving along the way.
-
5
Pinpoint any moves that people may have trouble with and add in helpful tips for correcting their posture or range of motion.
-
6
Use colorful analogies in the script when you can. To elaborate on upright posture, say "Imagine you're being pulled up from the top of the head by an imaginary string."
-
7
Set up a camera in a studio or in an empty space large enough to comfortably and correctly demonstrate the Zumba lesson. The camera should be positioned to capture the entire area that will be used in the lesson; the instructor's entire body should always be within the camera's frame.
-
8
Upload the video to the lessons website or video sharing site. Write a short description of the lesson, including the length and level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
