How to Adjust the Dual Temperature Controls on a GE Refrigerator
Many General Electric (GE) refrigerators have dual temperature controls, sometimes referred to a "Dual Climate Controls." The controls are located on the roof of the refrigerator compartment, and control the internal temperature of both the fresh food and freezer compartments. Most models have nine temperature settings, with the default setting being in the middle of the available temperature spectrum. Open the fresh food compartment and locate the two temperature control dials. Each dial is labeled for the compartment that it controls.

Rotate the dial to increase the temperature setting by one to lower the temperature of the compartment. Rotate the dial to decrease the temperature setting by one to raise the temperature of the compartment.

Wait 12 hours to allow the temperature in the compartment to stabilize before increasing or decreasing the temperature further.
