How to Deal With a Sarcastic and Rude Husband
A sarcastic and rude husband can be difficult to live with. At times it can be difficult when taking him to family parties or get togethers at the bar with your friends because people do not understand his humor. Whether he knows he is sarcastic or rude, or it's just the way he comes off to others, it's important to approach the situation in a way that does not lead to further problems in your relationship.

1
Pick your battle. Decide if the comment he made is worth confrontation. If not let it roll off your back and let it go.
-
2
Confront him about the problem in a calm manner. Yelling at him may make the problem worst or raise tension. Sometimes people may not realize that their actions are offensive. Point out specific occasions when your husband was rude and ask that he try to avoid acting this way in the future.

3
Apologize for your husband's behavior to friends and family and discuss the matter with him in private. Don't make excuses for his behavior unless he has a medical condition (like bipolar disorder), but say "I'm sorry he said that" and walk away to talk with him.
-
4
Explain your husband's sarcastic sense of humor to people if they seem offended. It's possible friends and family may not understand that that's his way to lighten a mood or have a laugh.
