Entourage is the email client in Microsoft Office for Mac from Office 2001 to Office 2008, and was replaced by Outlook in Office for Mac 2011. Unlike Outlook on a PC, which stores email and other program files in a PST file, Entourage stores all program data in a database. You can import your Entourage emails to Apple Mail by manually exporting the mail folders as MBOX files. Alternatively, you can directly import Entourage email into Apple Mail.
Export as MBOX
Open Entourage. Click "View," then "Folder List" to make the Folder pane visible.
Click a mailbox folder you want to export and drag it to your Mac desktop. The folder is saved as an MBOX file. Click and drag additional folders until all of your email folders are exported as MBOX files on your desktop. Close Entourage.
Open Apple Mail. Click "File," then "Import Mailboxes."
Click the "Standard Mbox Files" radio button and click the right arrow. Navigate to your desktop and highlight the exported MBOX files. Click "Import." The MBOX files are imported into Apple Mail in the "Import" folder under "On My Mac."
