How to Delete Zoosk

Love might be free, but Zoosk isn't -- the dating site requires a paid subscription, a fact not made entirely clear in its advertisements. Whether you want to avoid getting billed or the site just isn't what you hoped for, you'll need to cancel your subscription, deactivate your account and un-link Zoosk from your social-media accounts to eliminate all ties with the service.

  1. Cancel Your Zoosk Subscription

    • Stop paying for the service before you deactivate your account.

      1. Go to zoosk.com and log in to your account.

      2. Click your display name in the top right corner of the window and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

      3. Select "Subscription" from the navigation bar on the left of the window to access the subscription page.

      4. Click "Cancel My Subscription."

      5. On the confirmation page, answer the questions regarding why you are leaving Zoosk.

    Deactivate Your Zoosk Account

    • Close out your account before you disconnect Zoosk from your social-media accounts.

      1. Open zoosk.com and log in to your account.

      2. Click your display name in the top right corner of the window and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

      3. Select "Edit," which is next to "Account Status."

      4. Click "Deactivate," which will bring you to a confirmation page.

      5. Confirm the deactivation of your account by selecting "Deactivate Zoosk Account."

Remove Zoosk from Twitter and Facebook

    • After your account is deactivated, tidy up loose ends by disconnecting Zoosk's service from your social media accounts.

      2. Go to the Twitter Applications page.

      3. Find Zoosk in the list of apps and click "Revoke Access."

      4. In your Web browser, go to Facebook and login to your account.

      5. Click the blue triangle near the top-right of the window and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

      6. Click "Blocking" on the left menu bar.

      7. Under "Block Apps," type "Zoosk" and press "Enter."
